The “Go To” pattern for Tarpon everywhere.  The Black Death is a classic pattern that is a confidence fly and allows for a very delicate landing. Every angler needs to have several traditional Tarpon flies in their box in order to delicately present an offering right on the nose of a laid-up or cruising fish.  The slim sparse body maximizes hook gape and keeps fish hooked up and gives anglers the best shot at landing fish.
